Six Oil Products That Will Change Your Beauty Regimen Forever (In A Good Way!)

I’m pretty sure I haven’t ever met anyone as obsessed with oils as myself. I like them all – hair, face, body, you name it. Oddly enough, oil removes oil and dirt, which is why I made the switchover to oils a couple years back. I still use products that are non oil-based in my daily regimen, but my skin and hair are both obsessed with the benefits of using oils: fewer breakouts and increased hydration, all while not stripping down the good stuff.  (more…)

Current Obsession: The Cutest Skull Hand Soap You’ve Ever Laid Eyes On

This adorable skull soap from Bath & Body Works has made itself at home in my bathroom for the month of October, and perhaps even longer since it’s re-fill friendly. The amazing pros on this product: The glitter,  the Sweet Pea signature scent, the magenta colored bottle, you can refill it, the cute (not scary) skull, it exfoliates, moisturizes, and softens your skin – have I convinced you that you need this in your life yet? Added bonus: it also makes for the perfect Halloween decor, so scoop up you very own Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea Halloween Deep Cleansing Hand Soap now before they’re all gone.

Happy Halloween month!

Burt’s Bees Makes Me Weak In The Knees: New Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub

I”ll start this off with a little fact you should know about me: I am overly obsessed with scrubs. Sugar scrubs, salt scrubs, foot scrubs, face scrubs, body scrubs, hand scrubs – you name it. Any scrub that promises me the satisfaction of cleansing and removing dead skin cells will probably end up in my shower at some point in time, which brings me to this post – the fabulous Burt’s Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub ($13). Save Time And Stress, And No Fussy Mess With Dry Shampoo

I tend to preach dry shampoo everywhere I go, especially out west where the air is a lot more dry. It’s not a well known thing around here, but I am trying to slowly convert my girlfriends….afterall, I once read that washing your hair a lot can pollute the environment. Maybe that’s a lie, but i’m here to tell you the best of the best when it comes to dry shampoos, tested and approved by me.

BCA Finds For Everyday Use

You don’t have to purchase something that you’ll never use again just to show your Breast Cancer Awareness Support. There are tons of items that you’ll be able to use throughout the year, so shop wisely! Below are some of my fun finds that can be used everyday:

Believe it or not scarves are always in style no matter what season it is. I use them in summer to jazz up sun dresses, and in winter to keep my neck warm. This Lindsay Phillips Belleview Scarf ($25) is a vibrant pink and orange color and looks amazing with a plain black dress. For the month of October 25% of the purchase price will go to The Young Survival Coalition and The Mammography Voucher Program at Morton Plant Mease Hospital. You can justify it as an amazing new wardrobe piece that will help fight Breast Cancer!

I am pretty much obsessed with my new Philips Sonicare Toothbrush ($59.99) and I’ve never felt like this towards a brush before. Not  only am I cleaning my teeth, but Phillips Sonicare is a proud sponsor of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October 2010 and 2011, the company will donate $100,000 to fund breast cancer research. Brush away for BCA!

If there’s one thing I don’t leave home without, it’s my Smashbox Lipgloss. This Limitless Long Wear Lip Gloss in Forever ($21) was created in a limited edition package, and all proceeds from the month of October will go toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Not only does the gloss stay on for hours upon hours, but also protects with SPF 15. This gloss looks stunning on top of a dark red lipstick – you’ll fall in love, I promise!

Breast SOS ($65 for 3oml), a signature product from all natural skin care line La Isha, is a must for every woman who wants to keep their breast and decolette area looking youthful. It helps improve overall color, texture and moisture retention of the skin, and helps to eliminate the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, discolorations and restore a tighter, springy resilience. It’s also a favorite amongst Breast Cancer victims as it helps to make breast reconstruction more comfortable for patients with its soothing essential oils. A portion of Breast SOS proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Fund.

Happy Breast Cancer Awareness shopping!
